At the end of the 10-week regular season, the top two teams will meet in in World Bowl IX, set for June 14 in Glasgow, Scotland.
Quarterback Craig Nall will take his Scottish Claymores on a quest to reach .500 as they meet the Amsterdam Admirals. Both teams are 3-4 and fighting to stay alive in the World Bowl hunt.
Nall has provided an offensive spark with a league-leading 11 touchdown passes, but the big story of the Claymores is their stingy defense. The Claymore D, which includes Packers S Bobby Jackson, LB Isaac Keys and LB Jermaine Petty. Last week they became the first team to shut out the Rhein Fire, triumphing 33-0.
On the other side of the ball today will be Packer receiver Travis Williams. So far Williams has six receptions for 69 yards.
The first and second place teams will clash as Barcelona (5-2) takes on Frankfut Galaxy (4-3). Two Packers are on the Galaxy roster, defensive back Jeremy Unertl and punter Tim Morgan. Unertl has two interceptions, which is tied for fourth in the league. In his first start at cornerback, having been moved from safety due to the injury situation, Unertl had four tackles and broke up a pass.
