Rodgers Stays Atop Pro Bowl Voting

Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady are the only players with more than 1 million votes; Packers players hold leads at several positions.

Aaron Rodgers remains atop Pro Bowl balloting, the NFL announced on Wednesday.

Rodgers has received 1.26 million votes, ahead of Tom Brady (1.15 million). They are the only players to have received more than 1 million votes.

As a team, the Packers continue to lead the way at most positions, with fullback John Kuhn, tackle Chad Clifton, guard T.J. Lang, center Scott Wells, cornerback Charles Woodson, free safety Morgan Burnett, kicker Mason Crosby and special-teamer Jarrett Bush atop the fan vote.

Greg Jennings is seventh among all players but second among NFC receivers behind Detroit’s Calvin Johnson.

Fans can vote at until the conclusion of Monday night’s game between the Steelers and 49ers. The AFC and NFC squads are based on the consensus votes of fans, players and coaches, with the players and coaches voting on Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 21-22. Fans, players and coaches each count one-third toward determining the 43-man rosters.

Each group’s vote counts one-third toward determining the 43-man rosters that represent the American Football Conference and National Football Conference in the Pro Bowl. NFL players and coaches will cast their votes on December 21-22.

This year’s Pro Bowl will be played on Sunday, January 29, with NBC televising the game beginning at 6 p.m. (Central) from Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii.
