Green Bay is one of a record 18 teams that are 1-1. Plus, the Packers bring in nine players for workouts.

After Week 1, much of Packers Nation was in panic mode about their cellar-dwelling Green Bay Packers.

After Week 2, the Packers are tied for first place in the NFC North.

A week after the Packers were the only division team to lose, they were the only team to win last week. At 1-1, they’re one of 18 teams to have split their first two games — a record, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

The NFC North (all four teams), AFC East (all four teams) and AFC North (Cincinnati, Baltimore and Pittsburgh) are the three divisions that are ruled by a .500 team.

A few other notes ...

— According to NFL insider Aaron Wilson, the Packers tried out running back Davin Meggett, outside linebacker Kendrick Adams, guard George Bias, cornerback Conroy Black, outside linebacker Robert Eddins, running back DuJuan Harris, outside linebacker Cordarro Law, cornerback James Nixon and outside linebacker Chavis Williams. Meggett, out of Maryland, is the son of former Giants star Dave Meggett; Harris carried nine times for 42 yards for Jacksonville last season; Eddins spent time on Buffalo’s practice squad last season; Williams spent a little time on Baltimore’s 53-man roster last season.

— The NFC’s Defensive Player of the Week won’t be announced until Friday, but Clay Matthews was named the Packers Hall of Fame’s Featured Player of the Week after recording 3.5 sacks of Chicago’s Jay Cutler on Thursday. The Week 1 selection was Randall Cobb.

— After a three-day weekend, the Packers will practice on Tuesday afternoon, take Wednesday off and get back into routine with practices on Thursday, Friday and Saturday for the Monday night game at Seattle.

— On Friday, coach Mike McCarthy said he’d be “surprised” if receiver Greg Jennings (groin) and defensive end C.J. Wilson (ankle) aren’t on the practice field on Tuesday.
