The NFL's career leader in sacks among linebackers was a finalist last year. Of the 27 semifinalists, he's the only one with Packers ties.

Ron Wolf, Sterling Sharpe and LeRoy Butler were shut out of the Pro Football Hall of Fame again, with only outside linebackers coach Kevin Greene having any Green Bay Packers ties among the 27 semifinalists announced on Friday.

Wolf, Butler and Sharpe were among the 127 players nominated on Sept. 27.

Greene is the NFL’s career leader in sacks among linebackers with 166, starring for the Rams, Steelers, Panthers and 49ers. He was a finalist last year.

Six first-year eligible candidates made the cutdown: guard/tackle Larry Allen, kicker Morten Andersen, safety John Lynch, tackle Jonathan Ogden, defensive tackle Warren Sapp and defensive end Michael Strahan. One other previously eligible candidate, cornerback Albert Lewis, made it to the semifinalist list for the first time.
