Rutgers Product Rice Wins Super Bowl

Ray Rice

Ray Rice is a Super Bowl champion. A key cog in the Baltimore Ravens' magical season, the former Rutgers star running back now joins the list of Scarlet Knights with Super Bowl rings.

The one-time face of Rutgers football, Ray Rice, is now a Super Bowl champion. Rice has been an ambassador for the Scarlet Knights football program since leaving for the NFL in 2007 and now adds world champion to his stellar résumé.

In the 34-31 victory for the Ravens, Rice ran for 59 yards on 20 attempts. He finishes the playoffs with an impressive 298 yards on 84 rush attempts.

Former Rutgers defensive lineman Alex Silvestro is also set for a Super Bowl ring. The practice squad lineman played in his second consecutive Super Bowl, after losing as a member of the New England Patriots' 53-man roster last season.

For former Rutgers tackle Anthony Davis, his first Super Bowl appearance ends in defeat. Recommended Stories
