The Green Bay Packers have gotten a lot younger.
With the retirement of Donald Driver (38) and Jeff Saturday (37) and the release of Charles Woodson (36), the Packers have just one player older than 30 on the roster.
The team’s resident graybeard is defensive end Ryan Pickett, who is 33 (turns 34 on Oct. 8). Other than that, there’s just one player under contract who’s even 30 — fullback John Kuhn (turns 31 on Sept. 9). Cornerback Tramon Williams will turn 30 on March 16.
Running backs Ryan Grant and Cedric Benson, who will be free agents when the league-year begins in a month, are 30. Another free agent, receiver Greg Jennings, will turn 30 on Sept. 21.
Beyond Pickett, Kuhn and Williams, Aaron Rodgers will turn 30 on Dec. 2, and A.J. Hawk will turn 30 on Jan. 6.
Here are the ages and birthdates of the 10 oldest Packers players who are under contract:
Ryan Pickett: 33 (10/8/1979).
