The way we see it, as many as 17 roster spots might be in play based on tonight's game at Kansas City. We have 28 players in contention for those spots.

Here's a quick rundown of how we see it, based on daily practice observations and multiple conversations with all of the position coaches.

Wide receiver (4): Jordy Nelson, James Jones, Randall Cobb, Jarrett Boykin. Bubble: Tyrone Walker, Jeremy Ross, Charles Johnson, Myles White.

Offensive line (6): David Bakhtiari, Josh Sitton, Evan Dietrich-Smith, T.J. Lang, Don Barclay, Marshall Newhouse. Bubble: Greg Van Roten, Lane Taylor, Patrick Lewis.

Tight end (2): Jermichael Finley, Ryan Taylor. Bubble: Matthew Mulligan, Andrew Quarless, D.J. Williams, Brandon Bostick, Jake Stoneburner.

Running back (1): Eddie Lacy. Good bets: Johnathan Franklin, John Kuhn. Bubble: Alex Green, James Starks.

Quarterback (2): Aaron Rodgers, Vince Young.

Defensive line (6): Ryan Pickett, B.J. Raji, Mike Neal, Datone Jones, Mike Daniels, C.J. Wilson. Good bet: Johnny Jolly. Bubble: Josh Boyd, Jordan Miller.

Outside linebackers (2): Clay Matthews, Nick Perry. Good bet: Andy Mulumba. Bubble: Dezman Moses.
