Woodson underwent off-season surgery to repair a bulging disk in his back. He missed the first six weeks of this season and had hoped to return to practice this week. Thus far, the 13-year veteran has not been in action on the Cowboys' practice field.
The Cowboys are battling an injury situation at cornerback as well. The absence of CB Pete Hunter has left Dallas with a young defensive backfield. In order to add experience to a field of rookie cornerbacks Jacques Reeves, Nate Jones and second-year corner Terence Newman, the Cowboys inked ex-Packer Tyrone Williams earlier this month.
