Roster moves

The Packers waived Larry Smith Tuesday, less than three weeks after re-signing the defensive lineman to alleviate injury problems at nose tackle.

Smith (6-5, 292 pounds) had re-signed with the Packers Oct. 7, following injuries to starter Grady Jackson and backup James Lee. Jackson returned to action vs. Dallas Sunday. The Packers had the roster spot open after placing QB Doug Pederson on injured reserve with a broken rib.

Smith, a Florida State product, played in the Tennessee, Detroit and Dallas games for the Packers. He contributed four tackles.
