Brewster continues to shine, but Thunder fall to Admirals

Berlin’s Carlton Brewster continues to lead NFL Europa in receiving through the first three weeks of the season. Allocated to the spring league by the Green Bay Packers, Brewster leads the league in three different categories.

Brewster has caught 23 passes for 283 yards (12.3 avg.), both league highs, but has yet to score a touchdown for the Thunder (1-2). Brewster leads all players in total yards from scrimmage (283).

Brewster caught nine passes from quarterback Travis Lulay (Seattle) for 85 yards in a 14-10 loss to the Amsterdam Admirals on Saturday before 11,942 fans at Olympic Stadium in Berlin. Brewster was unable to hold onto a pass from Lulay in the end zone on the Thunder’s first drive of the game and the ball was intercepted by Admirals safety Erick Harris (Philadelphia).

Packers guard Adam Stenavich started his third straight game at left guard for Amsterdam (1-2).

Linebacker Tim Goodwell, also allocated by the Packers to the Thunder, has yet to play because of a back injury.
