Five starters were on the Packers’ initial practice report for Monday’s season-opener against Minnesota.
At this early stage of the week, teams don’t have to use the standard format of listing their injured players as probable, questionable, doubtful or out.
In all, the Packers have 11 players on the injury report, including the starters: safety Atari Bigby (ankle), tackle Chad Clifton (knees and chest), running back Ryan Grant (hamstring), linebacker A.J. Hawk (chest) and center Scott Wells (back).
Bigby, Clifton and Grant are expected to play, and coach Mike McCarthy hasn’t ruled out Hawk. Wells almost certainly is out.
The others on the list: defensive end Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila (knee), receiver James Jones (knee), guard Josh Sitton (knee), safety Charlie Peprah (hamstring), defensive end Jeremy Thompson (groin) and linebacker Tracy White (ankle).
Neither the Vikings nor Packers practiced on Wednesday.
On Minnesota’s injury report were starting quarterback Tarvaris Jackson (knee), starting safety Madieu Williams (neck), reserve receiver Robert Ferguson (foot) and reserve running back Maurice Hicks (foot).
