Under contract are defensive end Jarius Wynn, cornerback Brandon Underwood and linebacker Brad Jones.

The Green Bay Packers got a jump on their rookie contracts on Tuesday by signing sixth-round picks Brandon Underwood and Jarius Wynn and seventh-rounder Brad Jones, the team announced.

Terms were not immediately available.

Wynn, a defensive end from Georgia and the 182nd pick in the draft, played in 26 games in two seasons for the Bulldogs. He began his career at Georgia Military College, where he earned second-team National Junior College Athletic Association honors in 2006.

Wynn's agent, Chris Martin, told Packer Report that Wynn received a four-year contract. He would not disclose other details, except to say it was in line with other picks taken at that stage of the draft. That would give him a signing bonus of about $108,000.

Underwood, a cornerback from Cincinnati and the 187th selection, was named first-team all-Big East last season in his only year as a collegiate starter. He led Cincinnati in interceptions with four while splitting time between safety and cornerback, and earned the club's special teams player of the year award.

Selected directly after Underwood was cornerback Brice McCain by Houston. He received four years, $1.8 million and a $101,750 signing bonus.

His agent, Deryk Gilmore, said Underwood is finally in town for practice. By NCAA rules, he was not allowed to participate in OTAs until he was finished with classes.

Jones, a linebacker from Colorado who was pick No. 218, was a three-year starter for the Buffaloes. He was an honorable mention on the all-Big 12 team last season after posting team highs in sacks (seven) and tackles for losses (14).

Jones' agent was not immediately available. Taken one pick after Jones was safety Curtis Taylor by San Francisco. Taylor received a four-year, $1.809 million deal with a $59,880 signing bonus.

The team also announced the signing of tight end Devin Frischknecht and released cornerback Joshua Abrams.

Frischknecht, a 6-foot-3, 258-pound rookie from Washington State, spent his first two years at Snow College. At Washington State, he started eight games in two seasons, with 35 catches for 412 yards and four touchdowns.
