Terms were not disclosed, but the deal is presumably for four years with a bonus of about $173,000.

Four down, four to go.

The Packers announced they have signed the second of their fifth-round picks, left tackle Jamon Meredith, on Thursday. Terms were not disclosed, though presumably the contract is worth close to the four-year, $1.75 million contract the Miami Dolphins gave to tight end John Nalbone. Nalbone, who received a $173,000 signing bonus, was selected at No. 161 overall while Meredith was No. 162.

Unlike fourth-round pick T.J. Lang, who the Packers have been shuttling between right guard and right tackle, the Packers have anchored Meredith in at left tackle. Ideally, he’s being groomed to be the heir to longtime starting left tackle Chad Clifton.

Meredith sat out Wednesday’s final minicamp practice, presumably because of the heat after being driven to the locker room after Tuesday’s steamy practice. He spent much of Wednesday’s practice alongside Clifton. The 6-foot-5, 304-pounder started 38 games at South Carolina while compiling a 3.74 grade point average.

Last week, the Packers signed sixth-round picks Jarius Wynn and Brandon Underwood and seventh-round pick Brad Jones to four-year contracts.

Up next, if the Packers continue their bottom-to-top approach, would be fullback Quinn Johnson, who was selected at No. 145 overall with the ninth selection of the fifth round. Pick No. 146, linebacker Scott McKillop, has been signed by San Francisco to a four-year deal with a $192,000 signing bonus.

The Packers’ other unsigned picks are fourth-round Lang and first-round picks B.J. Raji and Clay Matthews III. Only six fourth-round picks and two first-round picks have been signed across the league.
