Defensive tackle was a restricted free agent this offseason
Nose tackle Colin Cole signed a one-year, $1.417 million qualifying offer as a restricted free agent, according to a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel report tonight. Cole signed just ahead of Friday's deadline for restricted free agents to sign contracts with other teams.
Cole played mainly in a reserve role behind Ryan Pickett until he sustained a broken forearm on Thanksgiving Day against the Detroit Lions. He finished with 13 tackles, no sacks and one pass defensed. He was placed on injured reserve on Nov. 25.
Cole is a good run stopper who will be given a chance to make the team again this offseason.
