| Biography: |
| 2003: Jackson was perhaps coach Mike Sherman’s best in-season roster move, signing with the team Nov. 4, a day after being released after a suspension issued by the New Orleans Saints. ... In eight games, Jackson started one time but was an anchor with 25 tackles (16 unassisted) while dramatically improving the run defense. Added 2 1/2 sacks and forced a fumble. ... Played about 35 snaps per game to rest Gilbert Brown. ... Packers allowed just 95.4 yards per rush after Jackson signed compared to 117 per game before his arrival. ... Started both playoff games and was in on eight tackles. ... His standout play made Brown expendable this off-season, and the Packers signed Jackson late in 2003 through 2005.
Signed off waivers from New Orleans by Green Bay Packers on Nov. 4. ... Jackson, 30, played five seasons in Oakland before signing with the Saints in 2002. He was among New Orleans’ defensive leaders last season with 55 tackles,
including six against the Packers in the Saints’ 35-20 win in the Superdome on
Sept. 15, 2002.
Jackson, who will wear No. 75 for Green Bay, was waived by the Saints Monday.
He was originally signed by the Raiders out of Knoxville College in the sixth
