Pro
2003: After spending much of the 2002 season at left tackle, Flanagan shifted back to his natural center position and maintained his status as one of the league’s top offensive linemen. ... Started all 16 games, as well as both playoff games, to extend his consecutive-games-played streak to 79 (84 including playoffs). ... Played every meaningful snap. ... Pro Bowl alternate wound up playing in annual all-star contest when starer Olin Kreutz of Chicago bowed out due to injury. ... Graded out as Packers’ third-best offensive linemen behind fellow Pro Bowler Marco Rivera and his guard counterpart, Mike Wahle. ... Helped lead franchise-best running game (2,558 yards). Rushing total ranked third in NFL. ... Pass protection was beyond stellar, yielding just three quarterback pressures and no sacks. ... Helped handle Warren Sapp to hold the Tampa Bay Buccaneers sackless for the first time in a league-record 69 games. ... Since becoming a full-time starter three seasons ago, Packers have yielded a league-low 68 sacks. ... Under contract through 2005 after signing four-year extension in 2001.

Also started both playoff contests. Was a key factor in Green Bay allowing the third-fewest sacks in the league (22) and the fewest by a Packer team in 27 years (17 in 1974). Did not incur a single holding penalty throughout 2001 season.
