| David Martin is a model of continous improvement since entering the league. A much better receiver in the passing game than blocker, Martin has the ability to create space between he and a defender, while progressing in his recognition of the defense. The recognition provides Martin the opportunity to be a player in the passing game, as he has displayed the ability to make the tough reception appear routine. Martin’s blocking skills are minimal at best, he does a poor job of squaring up at the line of scrimmage and is often overwhelmed, where he plays too upright and stiff. Much of his inconsistency relates to his inability to adjust and less than average strength from the waist down.
