| In 2004, Horton played in 14 games after being inactive for the first two games. Struggled in coverage but showed potential in practice. Was picked on by Indianapolis with Mike McKenzie and Ahmad Carroll injured. Finished season listed as the No. 3 right cornerback. Tallied 14 tackles on special teams.
Was signed on Jan. 6, 2004, after spending his first two professional seasons with the CFL's Toronto Argonauts. Did not play in Canada due to a veteran defensive backfield up there. Spent freshman season at North Carolina and next two seasons at North Carolina A&T. Declared for draft after junior season but improper paperwork made him ineligible. Meanwhile, he lost his college eligibility by hiring an agent. In 2002, his last season of college ball, Horton had six interceptions and 13 passes defensed in 10 games. He five interceptions in 2001. |
