Pro
2004: Missed most of the season due to a stress fracture and complications from a 2003 knee injury. Spent the first six weeks on the physically-unable-to-perform list and was promoted to the 53-player roster on Nov. 10 but did not play in a game. Big-time speed makes him an intriguing possibility if healthy.
2003: Placed on season-ending injured reserve in Week 2 with torn cartilage in his right knee. He suffered the injury during a training camp practice a few days before Green Bay's Aug. 23 preseason game against Carolina. ... Packers coach Mike Sherman made speed a priority in the 2003 draft, and that's something Johnson doesn't lack. Could be valuable on coverage teams. Supposedly runs 4.18 in the 40, which made him the fastest player in the entire draft. ... Taken by Packers in seventh round (245th overall).
College
Spent first two seasons at Blinn Junior College before moving on to Louisville. Only interception came in Holiday Bowl win over Bringham Young in 2001. |
