2004: Completed 23 of 33 passes (69.7%) for 314 yards and four touchdowns for a passer rating of 139.4. ... Began the year as the team's No. 3 quarterback after holding off challengers Tim Couch and Scott McBrien in the preseason. ... Moved up on the depth chart to No. 2 QB starting in Week 5 after backup Doug Pederson went on season-ending injured reserve with a rib/back injury. ... Had been hurt himself for much of the first two weeks of training camp, having suffered a right hamstring strain on the first day of full-squad workouts (Aug. 2). Made a limited return to practice on Aug. 11 and sat out the first two preseason games. ... Was listed as inactive third quarterback for each of the first four games. At Chicago (Jan. 2), entered the game in the second quarter, completing seven of 13 passes for 131 yards and one touchdown. On his TD drive in the second quarter, went three of three for 64 yards.
