2004: Slowly emerged as No. 2 right corner behind Al Harris. ... Was slowed somewhat by injury at the start of the year when he missed a week of practice and the team's Aug. 7 scrimmage with a knee bruise, sustained Aug. 4. Returned to the field Aug. 10, though he didn't make his preseason debut until 11 days later against New Orleans. Made six coverage stops and 15 tackles (13 solo) from scrimmage, with two passes defensed and one forced fumble. ... Selected 70th overall by Packers in third round of 2004 NFL Draft. ... Bench-pressed 225 pounds 17 times at NFL Combine. Ran a 4.44 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.
College
A former all-state high school quarterback who originally enrolled at the University of Washington, but left the program when the coaching staff reneged on its promise to play him at cornerback (tried to convert him to halfback, then safety). Two-time All-American and All-Big Sky selection. Had four interceptions in 2003. In 2002, missed all of five games and parts of two others with a knee injury. In 2000, he started eight games as a true freshman. |
