2005: Selected by the Green Bay Packers in the fifth round of the 2005 NFL Draft, 167th overall.
2004: Made an impression on the Arena Football League's Dallas Desperados coaching staff at the team's 2004 open tryouts they just couldn't shake. As a result, Hawkins had a chance to make his professional football debut in the AFL after signing with Dallas on Dec. 30, 2003.
College
In his only year of collegiate football (2002), Hawkins saw action in five games for the University of Oklahoma Sooners as a true freshman. He recorded five tackles, a pass defensed and an interception, which he returned 45 yards for a touchdown. ... He was kicked off the team for disciplinary reasons midway through the season. |
