Entering third season as starter at center. Showcased his versatility when the offensive line was hit by injuries in 2002. Started six games at center and eight (including Green Bay's playoff game) at left tackle for the injured Chad Clifton. ... Suffered broken right thumb early in training camp, forcing him to miss first three regular season games. ... Spent first two seasons on injured reserve with a serious leg injury suffered during preseason of rookie year. ... Started all 16 games for the first time as a pro in 2001. Also started both playoff contests. Was a key factor in Green Bay allowing the third-fewest sacks in the league (22) and the fewest by a Packer team in 27 years (17 in 1974). Did not incur a single holding penalty throughout 2001 season.

Three-year starter and letterman (1993-95) for UCLA. ... Started his final 32 consecutive games, longest streak on the Bruins. ... Was a first-team All-Pacific 10 Conference selection as a junior and senior. ... Was co-offensive winner of school's 'Kenneth S.
