Biography:
Picked up as an UDFA in 2003 by Detroit, it was easy for Vines to slip through the radar screen -- especially as a receiver at the University of Wyoming. Vines is a very athletic and exciting receiver who finally came into his own during senior season at Wyoming. Led Cowboys with 45 receptions for 694 yards and 9 touchdowns in 2002, including a 10 reception, 237 yard performance in a loss to UNLV. Although Vines was heavily recruited to play football, he opted for basketball early in his collegiate career before switching to back to football just prior to his junior year. Has "tremendous leaping ability and quickness" according to U of W web site.
