Matt Kalil makes 7 Vikings in Pro Bowl
The Vikings offensive tackle was named to the Pro Bowl as an injury replacement for the Washington Redskins' T Trent Williams.
Kalil's selection after his rookie season makes it seven Vikings in Sunday's Pro Bowl. He joins DE Jared Allen, FB Jerome Felton, LB Chad Greenway, RB Adrian Peterson, TE Kyle Rudolph and K Blair Walsh.
Kalil was the fourth overall selection in the 2012 NFL Draft and started all 16 games for the Vikings in addition to their playoff game. He is only the third Vikings offensive tackle to start all 16 games, joining Gary Zimmerman (1986) and Todd Steussie ('94).
Kalil was part of the offensive line that allowed RB Adrian Peterson to rush for 2,097 yards. Kalil becomes the fourth Vikings rookie to make the Pro Bowl since 2007, joining Adrian Peterson (2007), Percy Harvin ('09) and Blair Walsh ('12).
