Training Camp Update

Here's a look at injury news from the latest Packer training camp sessions and a glance at today's schedule:<P>

Thursday's injury news: First-year defensive tackle Terdell Sands suffered a twisted ankle during the morning practice and did not return...Tight end Bubba Franks became ill during the morning session and sat out the afternoon practice ....Receiver Robert Ferguson suffered a stinger, but returned to practice ... Bubba Franks became ill during morning practice and sat out the afternoon practice ... David Martin also missed the afternoon practice due to a strained amstring. Devin Lewis hyperextended his knee after colliding with a defender in the afternoon practice and did not return.

Limited participation: James Lee participated in some drills, but was held out of team situations. Originally thought to be a back problem, Lee's pain is now being attributed to an injured hip flexor ... Held out of the second session as a precaution were Chad Clifton, Marco Rivera, Mark Tauscher and Frank Winters.

On the mend: Cletidus hunt is still out due to acute gastritis, but made his first training camp appearance on the sidelines Thursday.

Did Not Participate/Injured: Tony Fisher (Achilles), Jorg Heckenbach (exhaustion/dehydration), Hunt (acute gastritis), Joe Johnson (quad), Jermaine Petty (hamstring), Steve Warren (back), Jerry Wisne (calf).

Unsigned: Gilbert Brown.

Friday's schedule: Team workout from 8:45-11:15 a.m. (pads) and a special teams practice from 2:15-3:15 p.m.

Practices are held on Clarke Hinkle Field on Oneida Street or at Ray Nitschke Field, one block east on Packer Drive. Both outdoor locations are open to the public. In the case of bad weather, the practices will move inside the Don Hutson Center, which is closed to the public.
